Jacqui Lough

News applications developer

From messy data to useful info

I've built the data pipelines, publishing tools, and interactive graphics that newsrooms run on. I co-led the data systems behind the New York Times' London 2012 Olympics coverage and led the same work for Sochi 2014. I have also built tools and platforms at the BBC, News Catalyst, Hearst, and Condé Nast International.

I am a US citizen based in Melbourne, planning to move back to New York in 2027. I am looking for hybrid or in-office roles in the city, in newsroom engineering, data journalism, and civic technology. If you are hiring, my CV is here.
